Who the hell is W. Rohrl?

I haven't seen the movie Rush yet, and to be honest I'm not sure I want the image of James Hunt that I've conjured up over the years completely ruined by Hollywood's version of him, so am not sure if I ever will. The movie has however stoked some conversation about whether vintage "race wear" will become a more mainstream thing and it always brings me to one of the coolest things I own. This:

It doesn't get out of the closet much these days as I've had it for a very long time and have put many, many miles on it, so in the name of preservation it is only worn during those rare moments where those around me get its complete, utter coolness.

This jacket has brought me hours of entertainment over the years though. Many people ask who the hell W. Rohrl is. Others remember him, that amazing soccer player or olympian from the 70's. Oftentimes people think I am W. Rohrl. And oftentimes I am (Shhh, don't tell).

Rush is good. You should watch it.

Thor plays a convincing Hunt.

The guy playing Lauda is fantastic.

Also, I highly recommend watching Rush!
Ron Howard really touched on James Hunt (not physically, of course) pretty well, like his playboy attitude. That goes to Niki Lauda's serious and hardworking traits.

Full disclosure: The image of James Hunt I've conjured up is more suited to a drug and alcohol fueled X-rated movie filmed around race cars on pit lane. 70's bush and all.

I'm sure Rush is a great movie though...

Rush is rated R for a reason.

That said, yes, you would be disappointed since what you describe isn't really suitable for viewing according to the MPAA.
